Week 2
Exploring potential topics
In my first thesis, I analyzed the relationship between films and dreams. I relied on the experience of the filmmakers and combined it with extensive research.
The length of the thesis was limited to 1500 words, so although the topic attracted my attention, there were definitely parts that I could not discuss sufficiently due to the given length.
I would like to edit these parts in my current thesis.
I found the works of film director Balázs Simon fascinating, which my teacher introduced me to during the previous semester.

I found the works of film director Balázs Simon fascinating, which my teacher introduced me to during the previous semester.
His animation works are excellent in terms of technical solutions, lighting effects, narrative, originality, colors and musical background.
I felt his work was so close to my own style that I thought would like to learn as much as possible about his work.
I googled him and to my surprise he agreed to an interview.

I interviewed the award-winning director Balazs Simon on 25.04.2023 in London.
I want to incorporate what I heard into my current thesis, what he said makes the special world we call digital art even more attractive to me.
