Week 9

Main projects

Garage and Devil Man

Further thinking about the main projects

I improved the garage project with less smoke and the Devil man project one of its horns with a fire effect.

improved

I also completed two main projects this week.

Beauty clean up

This week we looked at motion vectors and green screen work.

We were given the task of removing the markers from a face. For this I used the roto paint node, which allows you to remove marks using the clone.

Week 8

This week I learned about Motion Vectors.

I forgot to disable this.

This caused the cracking problem.

I need to fix the cracks in the wall.

Basic maker removal

I  learnt how to clone out the markers. Important to add an alpha to the paint strokers or roto around the maker.

I need an alpha to cut out the region  I cloned.

to remove the lamp

using by Keymix node

I learned how to extract the grain

first technique

Merge (minus)

second technique with 2 different alternatives

I learned that denoise plate minus original gives me the noise.

This time to add grain only to the patch . I can merge the noise over the patch to rematch noise.

Week 7

This week I have been working on finishing my garage project to make it to the deadline. Unfortunately, after merging all the components of my node, it turned out that the color became transparent. I tried using the color option within Nuke (Node/base color material). I realized that the problem is with the merge. I needed a chain of unifying nodes. I also learned that order is very important.

Week 6

We learned about the color wheel in this lesson.

R = HUE: Hue literally means color

G = Saturation: Saturation pertains the amount of white light mixed with a hue

B = Luminance: Luminance is a measure to describe the perceived brightness of a color

input is Linear and output is HSV

We also learned how to remove for example the green channel from an image

Week 5

This week we looked at how to create a realistic CG composition.

It is important to choose the right locator and tracker to place the geometry in the desired location.

Clean up and Roto work

result – rota

we learned the importance of applying white balance from plate to CG

whitepoint=CG

gain=background  color
